Court suspensions on November 5, Wednesday amid Typhoon Tino — SC

Some courts suspended operations on November 5, Wednesday amid the effects of Typhoon Tino (international name: Kalmaegi), the Supreme Court (SC) said.

In various posts on X, the SC said work is suspended in the following courts due to inclement weather:

Palawan

  • Regional trial court (RTC) of Coron, MCTC of Coron-Busuanga-Gaudencio E. Abordo, and municipal trial court (MTC) Culion
  • All courts within the municipality of Taytay
  • Municipal circuit trial courts (MCTC) of Cuyo-Agutaya-Magsaysay

Negros Oriental

  • RTC Branches 64 and 102 and municipal trial court in cities (MTCC) of Guihulngan City, MCTC of La Libertad–Vallehermoso, and MTCC of Canlaon City

Cebu

  • All courts in Carcar City and San Fernando
  • All courts under the jurisdiction of RTC Barili
  • Lapu-Lapu City Judicial Station
  • Talisay City, Hall of Justice
  • RTC AND MTCC of Mandaue City, and MCTCS of Liloan-Compostela and Consolacion-Cordova
  • all courts under the judicial jurisdiction of RTC Oslob

Aklan

  • All courts within the territorial jurisdiction of RTC Kalibo in Aklan

Iloilo

  • All courts under the jurisdiction of RTC Branch 68, Dumangas

State weather bureau PAGASA earlier said that Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 was raised over some parts of Palawan.

Tino was last located over the coastal waters of El Nido, Palawan, packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 165 kph.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said that reported fatalities due to Tino have increased to 52. — Joahna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
