US Embassy in Manila cancels Nov. 10 visa appointments due to Super Typhoon Uwan
The United States Embassy in the Philippines on Sunday announced that all visa appointments scheduled for Monday, November 10, have been cancelled due to the severe weather conditions brought by Super Typhoon Uwan.
The embassy said its Visa Application Center in Parañaque will also be closed, including for all scheduled photo and fingerprint collection appointments.
“The safety of consular staff and visa applicants is our top priority. Visa applicants who have scheduled appointments on November 10 should check their registered email address for detailed rescheduling instructions,” the advisory read.
Applicants who have urgent scheduling concerns may call the customer service center at (02) 8548-8223 for immediate assistance.
In a separate advisory, the embassy said its Consular Agency in Cebu will likewise be closed on Monday. It added that the embassy will remain closed until Tuesday, November 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. —MCG, GMA Integrated News
