LOOK: Bongbong, Liza Marcos offer Mass for victims of Typhoon Uwan
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise ''Liza'' Araneta-Marcos offered Mass for those affected by Typhoon Uwan and other previous typhoons.
In her social media page, the First Lady posted photos of her and the President, as well as former First Lady Imelda Marcos and presidential sister Irene Marcos, attending a Mass at a chapel in Malacañang Palace on Sunday.
''Sunday Mass with special intentions for all the families affected by the recent typhoons,'' Liza said.
The President has tasked all government agencies to be on alert for the impact of Uwan, which was previously categorized as a super typhoon.
Uwan has maintained its strength over the West Philippine Sea, state weather bureau PAGASA said, after making landfall in Dinalungan, Aurora.
It will move west northwestward or northwestward in the next 12 hours. Afterwards, while moving northwestward to northward over the West Philippine Sea, Uwan is forecast to re-intensify tomorrow, Tuesday.
Authorities reported that two died following Uwan's onslaught. Still, these fatalities are subject for validation. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
