Marcos appoints Fredderick Vida as acting DOJ secretary

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed Department of Justice (DOJ) Officer-in-Charge Frederrick Vida as acting secretary of the agency.

Vida's appointment paper, signed by the President, was dated November 12, 2025.

"By virtue thereof, you may qualify and perform the duties of the office," it read.

Vida spoke about the change in his appointment during an event Thursday of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

"Nag-umpisa ang programa OIC ako. Pero kalagitnaan ng programa, secretary na ako," Vida said in his speech.
