Marcos eyeing AI use in flagging flood control anomalies

Marcos eyeing AI use in flagging flood control anomalies

In light of the investigation into anomalous infrastructure programs, President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. said Thursday that the government is eyeing to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) in monitoring the implementation of flood control projects.

(We have seen the latest smart technology where we use AI. The AI checks the process of the contracts. If something isn't right, it will be flagged.)

(We will utilize everything, including AI, all smart technology that is available, to check on the projects.)

Earlier, the Office of the Ombudsman said it is planning to use AI to investigate and prosecute graft and corruption cases.

“In light of the digitization stage that we want to undergo, probably we will also seek to ask experts in artificial intelligence to help us process information faster. Because of the volume of the documents that we have and the volume of transactions, we may have to go AI, and we’re just having a consultant to give us advice very soon,” Remulla had said.

Ombudsman Jesus Crispin ''Boying'' Remulla also vowed swift action on matters related to the investigation of the flood control corruption scandal. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
