The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee resumes its probe on alleged anomalous flood control projects on Friday. 

Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson is back as the panel's chair after being reinstated a month after he resigned from the post at the height of the flood control probe. 

Meanwhile, Lacson on Thursday said that the Senate blue ribbon committee will no longer invite resigned Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co to attend the hearing through a video conferencing platform. 

This, as he expressed concerns about Co possibly using his attendance via Zoom for “propaganda purposes.”

He added that Co’s lawyer informed the committee that the former congressman is undergoing medical treatment in the United States and “asked to be excused" from Friday's hearing.
