Woman hurt by falling drone in EDSA rally

A female protester was hurt on Monday night after a drone fell on her head during the second day of the anti-corruption protest at the EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City. 

The victim was promptly given medical attention after suffering a laceration.

The Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety immediately confiscated the drone after the incident.

Police Major Jennifer Ganaban, public information office chief of the Quezon City Police District, told GMA News Online that they are still verifying reports if the drone came from the organizers as alleged by some witnesses. 

The victim’s friends told reporters that they were about to go home to Pampanga when the incident happened. They declined to give the victim’s personal details. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
