Work in NCR courts to resume on Tuesday
Courts in Metro Manila will resume operations on Tuesday after the Iglesia ni Cristo capped its two-day protest against corruption on Monday night, the Supreme Court (SC) said.
“With the announcement from Iglesia ni Cristo cancelling its protest action tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, work resumes at the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, Court of Tax Appeals, and trial courts in NCR,” the SC said in a social media post on Monday.
In deciding to end their protest a day ahead of schedule, INC spokesperson Edwil Zabala said they did not need three days to achieve their goal and send a message calling for transparency and better governance.
“It did not need three days to achieve the goal of sending the message that we are calling for justice, accountability, transparency, and peace,” Zabala said.
As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office placed the crowd estimate at the Luneta at 550,000 people. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
