Marcos disappointed over Imee’s illegal drug use accusation

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was "disappointed" after his sister, Senator Imee Marcos, accused the First Family of using illegal drugs, according to Malacañang on Wednesday.

Claire Castro told GMA Integrated News’ Unang Balita in an interview.

(The President is disappointed. He is disappointed that his sister has gone so far and resorted to such a lie.)

Castro also dismissed Imee's dare for the First Family to undergo a hair follicle drug test.

The senator, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, said that if they do so, she will undergo a DNA test, as she accused presidential son, House Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos of fueling rumors that she was not a "true sibling" of the President.

Isa lamang ang solusyon: Magpapa-DNA test ako, magpa-hair follicle test sila," Imee said.

(Sandro wants to make rumors of me not being a true Marcos. There is only one solution: I will take a DNA test and they will take a hair follicle test.)

Castro, however, responded by saying, "Kung gusto niya magpa-DNA, go ahead.

(If she wants to take a DNA test, go ahead. But we will not listen to any challenge that Senator Imee Marcos wants.)

(It has long been proven that the President tested negative in a drug test. They were the ones who gave it before the election. They believed it. Even the leadership of St. Luke's gave a certificate for it, proving and confirming their test or evaluation.)

Castro said the call for the First Family to undergo drug tests aims to destroy their image.

Ang Pangulo talaga ang uutusan nila for this? Hindi naman uto-uto ang Pangulo?” Castro said.

(So for what? To destroy the President? What will they order the President to do next? Did they actually order the President to do this? The President is not gullible.)

The Palace official pointed out that the President’s work also shows that he is in good condition. —Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
