VP Sara, husband list 29 properties in 2024 SALN

Vice President Sara Duterte and her husband, lawyer Manases Carpio, declared a total of 29 real properties in their 2024 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), with 19 of these located in Davao City.

This is based on copies of Duterte’s SALNs filed from June 30, 2022 to December 31, 2024, as sourced by GMA Integrated News Research.

The December 31, 2024 filing shows that the couple’s real properties include agricultural land, residential lots, house-and-lot units, a condominium in Mandaluyong, a house-and-lot in Parañaque, and multiple parcels of land in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS).

Only two lots are listed as “property of the children” under trust arrangements.

Davao properties dominate Duterte–Carpio holdings

Of the 29 declared properties, 19 are in Davao City, including residential lots in multiple barangays, agricultural parcels, memorial lots, and house-and-lot units

Three pieces of real property are listed in other Davao Region localities, including Panabo City, and five are located in IGACOS.

According to the Vice President’s SALN, most of the couple’s properties in Davao City were acquired between 2006 and 2015.

Although Duterte’s declared asset values and liabilities shifted across her 2022–2024 filings, the number of properties remained stable.

Her 2024 SALN shows a portfolio largely unchanged in size, with adjustments appearing primarily in valuation, acquisition of new parcels, or reclassification, such as two lots placed under trust for the couple’s children.

Duterte-Carpio also disclosed business interests in food manufacturing, trucking, trading, and legal services, consistent with earlier years.

Net worth increased to P88.5 million in 2024

According to a 24 Oras report on Tuesday, Duterte’s declared net worth has increased by P17.45 million since she assumed the vice presidency in 2022— from P71.1 million in June 2022 to P88.51 million as of December 31, 2024.

Upon assuming office on June 30, 2022, Duterte declared:

  • Real properties: P50.96 million
  • Personal properties: P23.85 million
  • Liabilities: P3.750 million (personal loan)

By December 31, 2022, her net worth had slightly increased to P71.66 million, with liabilities reduced to P3.15 million.

In her December 31, 2023 SALN, Duterte’s net worth rose further to P77.51 million, following increases in real property assets to P54.81 million and personal properties to P25.25 million. Her personal loan decreased to P2.55 million.

As of December 31, 2024, Duterte’s net worth climbed to P88.51 million.

Her real properties increased to P66.81 million, attributed to the acquisition of two parcels of land by Carpio worth P12 million. Personal properties rose to P31.65 million.

However, Duterte also took on a new P8 million loan in 2024, bringing her total liabilities to P9.95 million, even as her earlier personal loan dipped to P1.95 million.
