Leni Robredo declared P15.5M net worth in June 2022, SALN shows

Former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo had a net worth of P15.5 million when she stepped down from office in June 2022 – P4.5 million higher than her declared net worth when she began her term in June 2016.

This is according to her Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth sourced by GMA Integrated News Research and reported by Maki Pulido on “24 Oras” on Wednesday.

In June 2016, Robredo – then Camarines Sur 3rd District lawmaker – declared her net worth to be more than P11 million. This means that her net worth went up by P4.5 million or 40 percent in six years.

Upon stepping down from office in 2022, Robredo reported her assets to be at P27.5 million, or P9.6 million higher than her declared assets of P17.9 million in 2016.

Her listed assets included 14 residential and agricultural lots, three houses, four vehicles, and shares in Meralco and Rockwell Land. Robredo had almost P16.8 million in cash.

She also declared her liabilities and loans to be at P12 million.

As Vice President, Robredo received a P350,000 monthly salary at Salary Grade 32. She would have accumulated P25 million in six years if she did not spend her monthly pay.

Following her loss to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the 2022 presidential elections, Robredo became a private citizen for a few years until she ran and won as Naga City mayor in the 2025 national and local elections. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
