WATCH: Police search Zaldy Co’s house in Pasig City
Authorities searched the Pasig City residence of former Ako Bicol party-list representative and House Appropriations Committee chair Zaldy Co as they attempted to serve a warrant for his arrest.
Personnel from the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police–Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, however, did not find Co at the property.
The arrest warrant stemmed from graft, malversation, and falsification charges filed against him over his alleged involvement in anomalous flood control projects.
In a video by Marisol Abdurahman, authorities were seen discovering several safe deposit boxes inside the residence.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos earlier announced that arrest warrants had been issued for Co, officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways, and directors of the contracting firm Sunwest Corp.—Mariel Celine Serquiña/MCG, GMA Integrated News
