3 more alleged human bones recovered from Taal — DOJ
Three more alleged human skeletal remains were recovered from Taal Lake in search of missing sabungeros, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Tuesday.
According to the DOJ, a joint team recovered a black fine net and three sacks, which contained three pieces of alleged human skeletal remains, and black sand.
The DOJ said the pieces were turned over to the Scene of the Crime Operation.
“The said pieces of evidence are currently in the custody of RFU4A team Cavite and CIDG Batangas for proper documentation and further investigation,” the DOJ said.
The Taal Lake search began after whistleblower Julie “Dondon” Patidongan claimed that more than 100 sabungeros were abducted, killed, and then dumped in the waters of the Taal Lake. — Johna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
