Sandiganbayan directs Estrada to provide documents for travel request

The Sandiganbayan on Thursday directed Senator Jinggoy Estrada to provide documents regarding his request to travel abroad, according to Christian Maño’s report on Super Radyo dzBB.

During the hearing, the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division directed the senator’s camp to provide a detailed itinerary, return ticket, and other documents.

Estrada attended the hearing via video conferencing.

This is over Estrda’s motion to be allowed to travel to Japan, Norway, and Austria amid the graft charges against him over the pork barrel scam.

Meanwhile, the prosecution contested Estrada’s motion, arguing that his travel abroad is not necessary. 

The prosecution also argued that the Independent Commission for Infrastructure is investigating Estrada over anomalous flood control projects. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
