Porac Mayor Jaime Capil posts bail

Porac Mayor Jaime Capil on Tuesday surrendered and posted bail at a Pasig court over graft charges, according to Jonathan Andal’s report on Super Radyo dzBB.

Capil, accompanied by his lawyers, posted a bail amounting to a total of P630,000 for 7 counts of graft.

Due to this, the court has withdrawn the arrest warrant issued against him.

Meanwhile, it said his arraignment and pre-trial on December 11.

Capil reiterated his earlier remark that he was not hiding and he is following the law. He also extended his gratitude to his family, friends, and supporters.

In April 2025, the Office of the Ombudsman dismissed Capil for gross neglect of duty in connection to POGO firm Lucky South 99.
