Marcos appoints Lito Magno as NBI acting director
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed Lito Magno as acting director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Magno was previously appointed as the officer-in-charge (OIC) of the NBI, following the resignation of director Jaime Santiago.
“Pursuant to the provisions of existing laws, you are hereby appointed acting director (Director VI), NBI, Department of Justice,” the appointment paper read.
For his part, Magno thanked Marcos and the Department of Justice for their trust.
“Siguro po ang maipapangako lang natin ay mas do-doblehin natin ang sikap at mas lalo tayong magiging masigasig sa pag papatupad ng ating tungkulin,” he said.
(Maybe what we can only promise is that we will double our efforts and we will be even more diligent in fulfilling our duty.)
