Marcos: Though thankless, public service is a job that is worth it
If one must enter politics, one must do so for the right reasons – and this is to serve the people.
That was President Ferdinand Marcos Jr’s advice to those aspiring to enter public service in the teaser of his latest BBMPodcast, in which three students interviewed him.
“I think you’re well-guided so long as you enter politics for the right reason. And there’s only one right reason to serve. There’s no other correct reason,” Marcos said in the minute-long teaser.
“It’s a thankless job, that’s for sure. But it’s worth it. You know, it’s worth it,” the President added.
The students who interviewed Marcos were Kathleen Anne Millonte of the University of the East and Jannine Lagbawan of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, both student journalists, and Agripino John Partick Ga-an from the College of Law of West Visayas State University. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
