Bong Revilla files counter-affidavit over flood control allegations
Former Senator “Bong” Revilla on Wednesday personally filed his counter-affidavit at the Department of Justice (DOJ) over a complaint involving a supposed ghost flood control project in Bulacan, according to his spokesperson.
Atty. Francesca Lourdes Señga, his spokesperson, said the complaint was for violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
(Aside from his counter-affidavit, Mr. Revilla submitted evidence that would prove that all the contents of the allegations, accusations, and complaints against him are lies and nothing but lies.)
(Mr. Revilla hopes that the DOJ will be fair and will look at the evidence and will no longer allow this complaint to reach the court.)
Last week, Prosecutor General Richard “Dong” Fadullon said Revilla and former Ako Bicol Party-List Representative Zaldy Co were included as respondents in flood control projects in Bulacan.
Revilla was added in the complaint involving SYMS Construction, the DOJ said.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, Revilla denied his alleged involvement, saying he was an “easy target being used to muddle the truth.” —VAL, GMA Integrated News
