Ex-DPWH engineer Alcantara arrives at DOJ

Former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) district engineer Henry Alcantara visited the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday morning.

It was Alcantara who returned P110 million cash to the nation’s coffers in November.

Restitution is among the conditions for those linked in anomalous flood control projects to be considered for the DOJ’s witness protection program (WPP).

According to the DOJ, Alcantara’s visit was not connected to a preliminary investigation nor a restitution.

Alcantara has visited the department numerous times as he continues to cooperate in its investigation on the flood control controversy. — Joahna Lei Casilao/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
