Babes Singson says resignation will be deemed accepted if not acted upon

Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) Commissioner Rogelio “Babes” Singson on Friday said that his resignation will take effect after December 15, even if it is not acted upon by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

“I gave 30 days irrevocable. If it is not acted upon, it is deemed accepted,” Singson said in an interview posted by GMA reporter Joseph Morong.

ICI chairperson Andres Reyes Jr. previously said that Singson resigned, effective December 15, due to health reasons.

Singson said he has been “in and out of the hospital” since his appointment to the investigative body.

Meanwhile, aside from his health, Singson said he tendered his resignation because he believes that he has already fulfilled his purpose. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
