Pinoy Catholics flock to churches on first anticipated Simbang Gabi
The anticipated Simbang Gabi has started on Monday evening and the faithful have flocked to churches to begin the nine-day novena mass for Christmas.
For the devotees of the Black Nazarene the deem it extra special to complete the nine-day novena mass for Christmas as their wish will come true, Mark Salazar reported on "24 Oras."
The parishioners of St. Peter Parish church in Commonwealth, Quezon City were interviewed and disclosed that most of their prayers are for the welfare of their families in terms of health and livelihood.
One young parishioner expressed her wish for good health for her parents, for the safety of her sister, and that she may be able to fulfill her dream of becoming a registered Medical Technologist.
Luz Corpuz, meanwhile, dropped by the church to say a prayer of thanksgiving for the peaceful passing of her husband, who was a kidney patient.
"I know he is now with the Lord. And I thank the Lord for that. My husband came back to the Lord, kasi hindi siya palasimba," she told GMA Integrated News.
There are no small or big petitions that are raised in prayer.
An example is a student, who relayed that he prays for guidance and help for stress exprienced in doing homeworks or tests. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
