Two Pasig communities receive assistance from DHSUD, SHFC
The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) on Tuesday provided assistance to two Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP) beneficiary communities at Barangay Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City.
SHFC president and CEO Federico Laxa and DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling turned over checks for loan proceeds for land acquisition benefiting the two ECMP beneficiary communities.
Megaville 2 Homeowners’ Association Inc. received a check amounting to over P14 million to ensure the security of tenure of its 149 members. On the other hand, Villa Soledad Homeowners’ Association, Inc. received over P9 million for land acquisition which will benefit its 88 members.
Further, the SHFC turned over grants covering the documentary stamp tax on the mortgage of both homeowners’ associations.
“Our goal is to make homeownership more accessible and affordable for our beneficiaries. By shouldering costs such as documentary stamp taxes, we ease their financial burden and allow them to focus on improving their quality of life,” said Laxa in a statement.
Both homeowners’ associations were also recipients of the Certificate of Lot Award during the National Housing Expo last October led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
