Salon owner stabbing caught on live streaming video
A stabbing attack of a salon owner in Camiguin was caught in a live streaming video on social media, it was reported on Tuesday.
According to Cyril Chaves’ Tuesday report on “24 Oras,” people inside the salon were laughing when the male suspect entered the salon, approached, and stabbed the victim.
Another hair stylist stopped the suspect, and they wrestled until they went outside the salon.
The live feed also showed the salon owner attempting to stop the bleeding from the wounds he sustained on the neck.
Authorities arrested the suspect after residents reported the incident to authorities.
Based on police investigation, the victim and the suspect’s female live-in partner have a dispute, which has reached social media.
“Nag-aaway sila through online posting. Medyo matagal-tagal na siguro nakapagsumbong ang kalaban ng biktima sa suspek (kaya ito nangyari),” said Police Major Joann Navarro, Police Regional Office 10 spokesperson.
(They are fighting via online posting. For quite some time, the victim’s enemy could have shared it with the suspect.)
The victim, who is now in good condition, declined to comment on the matter.
The suspect also made no statement but admitted to police that he was drunk during the incident.
He will be facing frustrated murder charges and will undergo an inquest before the fiscal’s office. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
