PNP: Over 270K cops, non-uniformed personnel to get P20k incentive on Dec. 19

More than 270,000 police officers and non-uniformed personnel (NUPs) are set to receive a P20,000 service recognition incentive (SRI) for 2025, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.

According to the PNP, a total of 227,734 eligible police personnel and NUPs will receive P20,000 each, subject to applicable taxes. It is scheduled for payout on Friday, December 19.

“This one-time incentive is our way of recognizing the dedication and service of our personnel who continue to uphold public safety with integrity and professionalism,” said PNP acting chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.

“We are grateful to our men and women in uniform and Non-Uniformed whose efforts make a real difference every day,” he added.

The SRI, which amounted to P4.23 billion for this year, shall be granted to the police officers, NUPs, as well as uniformed personnel, NUPs and cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).

Pursuant to Administrative Order No. 40 by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Budget Circular No. 2025-3, the grant of the SRI applies to government employees in regular, contractual, or casual positions who have rendered at least four months of satisfactory service as of November 30, 2025.

Pro-rated incentives shall be also granted to those with less than four months of service.

Personnel with pending administrative or criminal cases are disqualified, except when the penalty is a reprimand only.

Meanwhile, a total of 227,925 active personnel are likewise set to receive a fixed, one-time P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) for this year as recognition of their productivity and performance.

“Let this grant of SRI, PEI, and the upcoming salary adjustments serve as a recognition of your hard work and dedication. I hope these benefits will not only reward your service but also inspire you to continue performing with excellence, integrity, and commitment to the Filipino people,” Nartatez added. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
