Australian Embassy closed from Dec. 25 to Jan 2, 2026

The Australian Embassy in Makati City on Tuesday announced that it will be closed for the Christmas and New Year holidays, with the resumption of regular operations in January 2026.

In an advisory on its Facebook page, the Australian Embassy said there will be no operations from December 25 to January 2, 2026.

It said regular operations will resume on January 5, 2026, Monday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Australian Embassy said citizens may call the 24 Hour Consular Emergency Centre in Canberra at +61 2 6261 3305 for urgent consular assistance. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
