SWS: Marcos net trust rating drops to -3%, Sara Duterte rises to 31%
The net trust rating of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. slipped to -3% while that of Vice President Sara Duterte improved to 31% amid government investigations into alleged anomalous flood control projects, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed.
The SWS poll, conducted on November 24 to 30 and confirmed by SWS on Friday, showed Marcos garnering 38% much trust rating as against 41% who have little trust in him.
On the other hand, the Vice President posted a 56% much trust score as against 26% who have little trust in her.
The President's -3% net trust rating for November 2025 is also lower than his October 2025 net trust rating of 7%.
Duterte's November 2025 net trust rating, meanwhile, was higher than her net trust rating of 25% last October.

By area
Trust was highest for Marcos in Balance Luzon (areas outside of Metro Manila in Luzon) at +18.
Everywhere else, however, the President registered negative ratings topped by -37 in Mindanao, -7 in Visayas, and -8 in the National Capital Region (NCR).
As for the Vice President, trust was strongest in Mindanao at +74, followed by +43 in Visayas, and +12 in Balance Luzon. Her weakest mark was in NCR at +2, although still a positive rating.

The poll commissioned by Stratbase Consultancy was conducted using face-to-face interviews nationwide on 1,200 adults aged 18 years old and above.
The 1,200 respondents include 300 individuals each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The sampling error margins are ±3% for national percentages and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
"Given a sponsor-authorized release of commissioned survey items, SWS is disclosing pertinent survey results and technical details for the benefit of the public," the SWS said in a statement.
The area estimates were weighted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) medium-population projections for 2025 to obtain the national estimates.
It was in November when the Ombudsman first filed malversation and graft charges filed against former Ako Bicol party-list representative Zaldy Co and 16 others with the Sandiganabayan over the P289-million alleged substandard road dike project in Oriental Mindoro.
In December, malversation and graft charges were also filed by the Ombudsman against contractor Sarah Discaya, among others, with the Regional Trial Court in Digos City, Davao del Sur over the P96.5- million ghost flood control project in Davao Occidental. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
