DSWD warns vs fake online surveys promising rewards from DSWD

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Sunday warned the public against answering online surveys or clicking links that supposedly offer gifts or rewards from the DSWD.

In a post on its Facebook page, the DSWD cautioned Filipinos against falling victim to such scams.

“Mag-ingat sa online surveys o links na nag-aalok ng regalo mula sa DSWD. Maaaring panlilinlang at nakawin ang inyong personal na impormasyon,” it said.

(Be careful of online surveys or links that offer gifts from the DSWD. These are possibly attempts to deceive you and steal your personal information.)

The post included an example of the fake online survey, which promised a reward of P700 in exchange for answering the survey.

“Siguraduhing ang impormasyon ay galing sa official DSWD accounts. Sama-sama nating labanan ang maling impormasyon!” the DSWD added.
