DOLE: More than 74k Pinoy job seekers hired in 2k job fairs in 2025


More than 74,000 Filipino job seekers were hired on the spot in more than 2,000 job fairs conducted in 2025, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said on Monday.

In a statement, the DOLE said it held 2,176 job fairs across the country, which resulted in the on-the-spot hiring of 74,564 job applicants.

The job fairs attracted 529,158 job seekers, according to the DOLE’s November 2025 accomplishment report.

Meanwhile, over 2.2 million job applicants to different Public Employment Services Offices (PESO) for placement.

PESOs are operated by local government units (LGUs) and are linked with the DOLE. These serve as employment service facilities in key cities and municipalities.

In addition, 151,316 beneficiaries of the DOLE’s Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) received P686 million in wages.

The agency added that 76,491 Government Internship Program (GIP) beneficiaries received more P2.66 billion in stipends.

The DOLE’s JobStart Philippines program also extended P101 million in assistance to 4,873 beneficiaries.

“As it continues to strengthen its employment programs, the department remains committed to fostering a competitive labor market that advances the nation toward a ‘Bagong Pilipinas,’” the agency added. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
