SC to hold tour on judiciary history, legacy for 125th anniversary

The Supreme Court (SC) has announced that it will hold a Grand Judiciary Tour, which will retrace the legacy of the judiciary in celebration of its 125th anniversary.

“The tour retraces the institutional, architectural, and historical legacy of the Philippine Judiciary, offering participants an opportunity to explore the evolution of the country’s highest court and judicial system through its historic sites,” the SC said in a Facebook post.

It added the tour will feature Intramuros, the original seat of the court from 1901 to 1945 and Ermita, Manila, its present headquarters.

According to the SC, participants will walk through Fort Santiago and will have an exclusive opportunity to visit the Marble Hall and Sala de Sesiones of the Ayuntamiento. They may also visit the SC Complex.

Meanwhile, though the tour itself is free of charge, entry to Fort Santiago is subject to a regular P75 admission fee.

The slots are now full for tour dates scheduled until June. However, interested individuals may click this link (https://bit.ly/GJT2026) to receive updates on future tour schedules and announcements.
