Marcos to undertake working visit to Abu Dhabi; defense deal to be signed
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is set to depart for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates next week for a working visit.
This was announced by Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro during Thursday's briefing. Marcos will depart Manila on Monday, January 12, she said.
A memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement will be signed between the Philippines and UAE, Castro said.
Castro said the CEPA is the Philippines’ first free trade agreement with a country from the Middle East.
Marcos will also participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
Scheduled for January 11 to 15, leaders from government, business, and society will discuss steps to advance global sustainability. —AOL/VBL, GMA Integrated News
