Some devotees were brought to hospitals amid the ongoing traslacion in Manila early Friday morning, according to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

In an update as of 6 a.m., the PRC said two patients were brought to Philippine General Hospital and another one to East Avenue Medical Center.

Two more patients from the PRC Emergency Field Hospital were also transferred to other hospitals for advanced care.

The PRC has attended to around 100 patients so far.

Most of the cases involved vital signs monitoring, which accounted for 58 individuals.

A total of 34 devotees were treated for minor conditions such as dizziness, abrasions, minor wounds, and sprains.

Five patients sustained major injuries, including deep lacerations.

The PRC Emergency Field Hospital stationed at the KKK Monument catered to 15 patients, which mostly classified as minor cases.

Based on the update, 10 patients remained under active monitoring, while four had been discharged.

Apart from medical services, the PRC also extended welfare assistance to 16 individuals, providing psychosocial support, referrals, and communication assistance.

The PRC deployed 17 first aid stations, 19 ambulances, and nine Medic on Wheels units, among others, for Traslacion.

Around 1,200 PRC staff and volunteers were mobilized to respond to emergencies throughout the procession. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
