PNP: 109 personnel pass 2025 Bar exam
A total of 109 personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) passed the 2025 Bar Examinations, according to the organization on Monday.
In a statement, the PNP said the 109 Bar passers came from different police units nationwide.
“This is a proud moment for the entire PNP. Passing the Bar is no small feat—it demands years of sacrifice, focus, and determination. That our police officers were able to do this while serving the public makes their achievement even more meaningful,” PNP acting chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said as he congratulated the successful examinees.
For Nartatez, the success of the incoming PNP lawyers reflects the organization’s ongoing reform and professionalization initiatives, particularly in promoting due process, human rights, and justice.
“Hindi lang kayo basta abogado ngayon — kayo ay abogado ng bayan at tagapaglingkod ng batas. You now bring deeper legal expertise to the PNP. This will help us serve with greater integrity and credibility,” he said.
(You are not just lawyers now. You are lawyers of the people and servants of the law. You now bring deeper legal expertise to the PNP. This will help us serve with greater integrity and credibility.)
“Sa mga kapwa ko pulis na nangangarap pa rin — huwag kayong susuko. Ang tagumpay na ito ay patunay na kaya natin abutin ang mataas na pamantayan basta may sipag at tiyaga,” he added.
(To my fellow police officers who are still aspiring— don’t give up. This victory is proof that we can reach high standards with hard work and perseverance.)
On January 7, the Supreme Court announced the list of passers of the 2025 Bar Examinations. A total of 5,594 out of 11,420 examinees passed.
Bar Chairperson Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier said the number represents 48.98% of the total takers who completed all three exam days.
