Senate subpoenas issued for Blue Ribbon hearing on flood control projects

The Senate has issued subpoenas to several individuals in connection with the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee's hearing on anomalous flood control projects on Monday.

According to a report on "Saksi," Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III said among those who have been sent subpoenas include former Department of Public Works and Highways Sec. Manuel Bonoan, former DPWH-National Capital Region regional director Gerald Opulencia, former Education Usec. Trygve Olaivar, former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co, and Commission on Audit commissioner Mario Lipana.

Also sent subpoenas are businessman Maynard Ngu, witness Orly Guteza, and five others.

An invitation to Batangas Rep. Leandro Leviste will be coursed through Speaker Bojie Dy.

DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon was also called to produce documents from the department. —NB, GMA Integrated News
