Marcos joins Muslims in observing Al Isra Wal Mi’raj

President Bongbong Marcos on Friday joined the Muslim community in observing Al Isra Wal Mi’raj

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday joined the Muslim community in observing Al Isra Wal Mi’raj, a sacred day that remembers the profound Night Journey and Ascension of the prophet Muhammad.

Marcos said this significant day marks the defining moment of divine encounter, revelation and trust, from which flowed the wisdom and commandments that continue to anchor the Islamic faith.

The President said this reminds Muslim Filipinos of the constant and unwavering nature of Allah's guidance in the midst of trials.

“As you gather in prayer, may this sacred occasion strengthen your faith and renew your spirit. May it guide your daily life with humility, moral clarity, and steadfast resolve,” Marcos said in his message.

Marcos said the remembrance of the miraculous journey would fortify one’s will in adversity, showing that resilience lies in facing hardship with grace and responsibility before the Almighty.

“For genuine faith shines brightest in actions that honor both personal conviction and the common good,” Marcos said.

Marcos also said that this day serves as a reminder that faith and moral discipline are most meaningful when applied to the shared duty of nation-building.

He added that forging national development requires perseverance, sacrifice, and solidarity.

“When faith fuels purpose and service is guided by conscience, we move closer to a Bagong Pilipinas where dignity is defended, opportunities reach every Filipino, and progress is truly inclusive,” Marcos said. —VAL, GMA Integrated Newws
