Palace announces 4 new foreign service posts ahead of ASEAN 2026 chair

Malacanang announced four new foreign service posts that were established in 2025 as it hosted the Vin D’Honneur before the Diplomatic Corps on Friday.

President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. said this development will create new opportunities for cooperation and bring government services to Filipinos living and working abroad.

Even as the Philippines will open new embassies and consulates, Marcos said the country’s ASEAN 2026 Chairmanship will stress regional security, deepen economic integration and the improvement of the lives of the citizens of ASEAN member states.  — RF, GMA Integrated News
