Thousands take PUP college entrance exams

Thousands of high school students took the Polytechnic University of the Philippines College Entrance Examination (PUPCET) on Sunday at the Sta. Mesa, Manila campus.

About 135,000 applicants registered for the exam, with 21,840 taking it in the first batch.

Based on PUP’s university-based online channel, CreaTV, more than 5,000 students were taking the exam per cluster.

PUP also set up medical service stations for examinees needing health assistance during the exams.

The remaining exams are scheduled for Feb. 8, Feb. 22, and March 8.

PUP earlier announced a temporary road closure near its main campus in the Santa Mesa district.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
