PNP-HPG: Zaldy Co's luxury car has fake license plate

One of the confiscated luxury vehicles of former lawmaker Zaldy Co was found to have a spurious license plate, the Highway Patrol Group of the Philippine National Police (HPG-PNP) said Monday.

According to Mark Makalalad's report over dzBB Super Radyo, HPG-PNP Director Brigadier General Hansel Marantan said a macro-etching examination on Co's Ferrari found the vehicle was registered to another individual who also owns the same model.

Authorities are now determining whether it was Co or the other driver who owns the license plate, Marantan added.

The HPG-PNP is now coordinating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for the filing of additional cases against the former lawmaker.

Meanwhile, the HPG-PNP is still locating Co's ten other luxury cars. — Sundy Locus/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
