Marcos 'unbothered' by impeachment complaint
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. is unbothered by the impeachment complaint lodged against him before the House of Representatives.
Speaking to reporters, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said she was able to ask the President about the matter at the sidelines of their meeting earlier.
Castro said the President is confident that it will not prosper, as he is not doing anything wrong.
''Ang sabi po niya, hindi po siya nababahala dahil alam po niya na wala siyang ginawa na impeachable offense na maaaring masabi na siya'y dapat managot. Alam po niya, siya naman po ay nagtratrabaho nang naaayon sa Konstitusyon at naaayon sa batas,'' Castro said.
(He said he is not bothered because he knows that he's not doing any impeachable offense and he knows that he is working in accordance with the Constitution and with the rule of law.)
''Kumpiyansa siya dahil wala siyang ginawang mali,'' she added.

The complaint against the President was filed by lawyer Andre de Jesus and endorsed by Pusong Pinoy party-list Representative Jett Nisay.
It cited graft and corruption, culpable violation of the Constitution, and betrayal of public trust as grounds.
Malacañang earlier said the filing of impeachment complaints is part of the democratic process under the Constitution, adding that Marcos fully upholds the Constitution and remains confident in the country’s democratic institutions.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
