Sandiganbayan orders 2 Bong Revilla co-accused sent to QC women’s jail

The Sandiganbayan Third Division has issued a commitment order directing the transfer of two co-accused of former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. following their arrest.

According to a dzBB report by Allan Gatus on Wednesday, Sandiganbayan Third Division Clerk of Court Atty. Dennis Pulma said Engineers Emelita Juat and Christina Pineda are to be transferred to the Quezon City Jail Female Dormitory at Camp Caringal after the Philippine National Police (PNP) served the return of warrant.

Pineda was arrested at around 12:40 a.m. Tuesday in Sagada, Mountain Province, while allegedly attempting to evade authorities.

Juat, who had been the only remaining person at large, was arrested by the Bulacan Provincial Police Office on Wednesday.

Following Juat’s arrest, all seven accused in the malversation case linked to the alleged P92.8 million ghost flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan are now in custody. An arraignment is set for Friday.
