LOOK: PNP releases mugshots of ex-senator Bong Revilla, co-accused
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday released blurred mugshots of former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and his co-accused after he surrendered following an arrest warrant against him over an alleged P92.8 million ghost flood control project in Pandi, Bulacan.
At a press conference, Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla clarified that there was no special treatment given to Revilla after the latter’s mugshot was not immediately released to the media.

“Dumating po siya sa Crame ng lumampas alas 10 [ng gabi], bago natapos yung processing, ala-una [ng umaga]. Bago namin siya dinala sa Crame alas 10 ulit ng umaga. So hindi na kami nagkaroon ng oras para ma-process lahat yan,” Remulla said.
(He arrived at Camp Crame past 10 p.m., his processing was finished at 1 a.m. Before we brought him to Crame again at 10 a.m. So we didn't have time to process all that.)
“Wala naman talaga akong balak na itago yan. Ang bilis lang talaga ng pangyayari. Kasi nga, intindihin niyo hatinggabi lahat nangyari ‘yan…I hope that clears everything na nandoon siya. I'd like to repeat, walang special treatment,” he added.
(I really have no intention to hide it. Things just happened so quickly. You have to understand, it all happened around midnight…I hope that clears everything that he was really there. I'd like to repeat, there was no special treatment.)
The actor-politician on Monday night surrendered to the Criminal (CIDG) amid the Sandiganbayan Third Division’s issuance of an arrest warrant against him and several former officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for malversation.
Aside from Revilla, the other respondents in the case include:
- Former DPWH Bulacan First District Engineering Office (DEO) assistant district engineer Brice Hernandez
- Former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Jaypee Mendoza
- Former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Arjay Domasig
- Former DPWH Bulacan First DEO Engr. Emelita Juat
- Former DPWH Bulacan First DEO finance section chief Juanito Mendoza, and
- DPWH Bulacan First District Engineering Office cashier Christina Pineda

The mugshots of Revilla's co-accused were released Tuesday.
Prior to turning himself in, Revilla spoke to his supporters via Facebook Live and expressed his frustration over what he claims is the “lack of due process” that led to the issuance of an arrest warrant and hold departure order (HDO) against him.
Revilla, who lost in his reelection bid in 2025, said he was saddened by the turn of events but vowed to face the charges.
Citing their decades-long friendship, Remulla admitted that he was emotionally affected by Revilla’s arrest but he stressed his commitment to the country as DILG Secretary.
“Sabi ko naman, this is my last gesture of friendship to you. Dadalhin ka na dito habang hindi ka pa na-arraign. So pag-serve ng warrant, nag-surrender siya. Sabi ko ako na maghahatid sayo,” he said.
(I told you, this is my last gesture of friendship to you. You will be arrested here while you are not yet arraigned. So when the warrant was served, he surrendered. I told him I will be the one to bring him there.)
“Of course, sino dito may kaibigan na nakulong? It pains me to see a friend go to jail. But my commitment to the country goes beyond any friendship in this country. Uunahin ko muna ang bansa kahit anong nangyari,” he added.
(Of course, who here has a friend who was imprisoned? It pains me to see a friend go to jail. But my commitment to the country goes beyond any friendship in this country. I will put the country first no matter what happens.) —RF, GMA Integrated News
