AFP pins new ranks on 6 generals, senior officers

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief General Romeo Brawner Jr. on Friday led the ceremonial donning of ranks on six newly promoted generals and senior officers.

The promoted AFP officers are:

• Lieutenant General Adonis Ariel G Orio PA, Commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM)
• Major General Patricio Ruben P Amata PA, Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7
• Major General Arsenio DC Sadural PA, Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8
• Major General Rosendo C Abad Jr PA, Commander of the Joint Special Operations Command
• Brigadier General Dexter A Macasaet PA, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, AJ4
• Brigadier General Joey T Fontiveros PA, Commander of the AFP Cyber Command

Brawner reminded the new generals and senior officers of the responsibilities that come with their higher ranks.

“You assume your role with complete confidence that you will continue to strengthen peace and security within your areas of responsibility,” Brawner said in a statement.
