Petron, Solane raise LPG prices
Major liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) suppliers Petron and Solane announced price increases effective February 1, citing adjustments in international LPG contract prices.
Petron said in an advisory that it will implement a P1.50 per kilogram increase, effective 12:01 a.m. on Sunday. The adjustment supposedly reflects the international contract price of LPG for February.
Meanwhile, in a separate advisory, Solane announced a P1.55 per kilogram increase for its LPG products, effective 6 a.m. on February 1.
The company said the move is aligned with February’s international LPG contract price adjustment.
For households, the increase translates to an additional around P16.50 to P17 a typical 11-kilogram cylinder, a common size for domestic use.
