VP Sara Duterte’s team ready to shed light on ‘Mary Grace Piattos’

The defense team of Vice President Sara Duterte is ready to explain the use of aliases for confidential funds, such as the infamous “Mary Grace Piattos” that became one of the basis for the impeachment complaints filed against her. 

According to Marisol Abdurahman’s report in “24 Oras” on Wednesday, Duterte’s defense team has prepared since last year on the use of aliases.

“Specifically the ‘Mary Grace Piattos,’ we are ready to respond to that and explain bakit may mga ganyan,” said Michael Poa, spokesperson of Duterte’s defense team. 

(Specifically regarding ‘Mary Grace Piattos,’ we are ready to respond to that and explain why things like that exist.) 

“She will address those issues in the appropriate time at kung ang circumstances bakit may ‘Mary Grace Piattos’ and things like that, and that has been something we have been preparing for last year pa,” he added.

The team is currently monitoring the possible actions by Congress on the two impeachment complaints against the Vice President. 

“Hindi naman natin pwede i-deny na nasa isip din naman natin ang numero,” Poa said.

“May number man o wala, sa atin naman basta ang sa atin ay makumbinsi natin ang ating mga kongresista na walang basehan ang mga paratang na ’to,” he added.
