Marcos vows to make jobs, skills trainings more accessible to Pinoys

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday vowed to continue making jobs and skills trainings more accessible to Filipinos as he graced the launching of the TESDA Skills Passport Mobile App in San Juan City.

It was his first public engagement since getting hospitalized for diverticulitis last January 21.

“Asahan ninyo na kami sa pamahalaan ay hindi titigil sa trabaho upang tulungan na kayo ay guminhawa ang inyong mga buhay,” the President said in his speech.

(The government will not stop in ensuring a better livelihood for all.)

The TESDA Skills Passport Mobile Application is a digital tool that makes technical education, skills training, and employment opportunities more available to Filipinos.

It was designed and will be maintained by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Information and Communication Technology Office.

“Sa pamamagitan ng TESDA Skills Passport Mobile Application, may all-in-one digital platform na tayo," Marcos said in his speech.

(Through the TESDA Skills Passport Mobile Application, we already have an all-in-one digital platform.)

“Dito makikita ninyo ang mga mahahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa TESDA trainees, scholarships, employment opportunities, TESDA-accredited training institutions, at TESDA online training courses,” he added.

(You will see the important information about TESDA trainees, scholarships, employment opportunities, TESDA-accredited training institutions, and TESDA online training courses.)

The new app will allow users to plan their skills training, study online, and apply for scholarships through a single platform. It is already available and can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices.

The app also features an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant that will respond to users’ queries at any time.

It will serve as a job portal that will connect TESDA-certified individuals with employers and industry partners across the country.

Marcos also assured the public that the TESDA Skills Passport Mobile App is adequately secured and that all user data and credentials are protected. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
