Public warned vs unauthorized 'Cardinal Tagle' YouTube channels

A warning has been issued on Thursday against unauthorized YouTube channels using the name of Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, his image, and video clips.

In a social media post, the administrators of Cardinal Tagle's social media account said the YouTube channels “Cardinal Luis Tagle – Inspirations” and “The Light of the Church” are not affiliated with him or any official Church office.

“Although these channels use his name, image, and video clips, they are not authorized or managed by him,” according to the statement.

“The public is advised to rely only on verified and official channels for authentic content and to remain cautious of accounts that may misrepresent Church leaders.”

The official social media account of Cardinal Tagle, who is based in the Vatican and is the current the Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery of Evangelization, is "Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle."

The Filipino prelate appears on the YouTube programs managed by JesCom TV, the communications arm of the Jesuit community called "Kape't Pandesal" and "The Word Exposed" wherein he provides reflections on bible readings and Catholic teachings. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
