DOJ probes entrepreneurs So, Macadangdang in flood control controversy

The Department of Justice has confirmed that entrepreneurs Jonathan Payawal So and Carlito Macadangdang are under investigation in connection with allegedly anomalous flood control projects.

According to Chino Gaston's report on "24 Oras," both So and Macadangdang are reportedly being linked to Topnotch Catalyst Builders, one of the contractors facing complaints in the flood control controversy.

Asked what So's involvement was with Topnotch, Prosecutor General Richard Fadullon said, "Hindi naman masabi kung contractor siya. Kasi alam namin, hindi naman s'ya contractor."

"Pero lumalabas 'yung pangalan n'ya doon as parang proponent. So it's still up to the panel of prosecutors how they will see his participation, of what evidence that will point to what his participation will be," Fadullon said.

"That is something that we will have to await because that's something that will be included in the resolution," he added.
