Marcos US visit includes address at UN Women's Status session
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is set to fly to the US next month for a series of high-level engagements at the United Nations (UN), Malacañang announced Monday.
Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said the working visit, slated from March 8 to March 11, 2026, will include Marcos' participation in the opening of the 70th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
Marcos will likewise address and deliver a message before the special session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
"Pangungunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang isang working visit sa New York, USA sa darating na March 8 to 11," Castro said in a Palace briefing.

"Dadalo si Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa opening ng 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women. Magbibigay rin ang Pangulo ng mensahe sa gaganaping special session ng UNGA. Makikipagpulong din ang Pangulo sa ilang opisyal ng UN," she added.

The CSW is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality, the rights and the empowerment of women.
