Discaya's Rolls-Royce sold to Igorot Stone Kingdom for ₱29M at auction
The controversial Rolls-Royce Cullinan (2013) once owned by the Discayas, which became viral after contractor Sarah Discaya said it came with a free umbrella, was sold at the third leg of the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) public auction for seized luxury vehicles.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan (2013) was the sole vehicle sold among the 10 luxury cars, eight of which were owned by the Discaya couple, put under the hammer by the BOC.
The vehicle was sold to Baguio-based theme park Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc. for a bid price of P29,026,000.00 against a floor price of P29,025,132.58.
In an interview following the auction, Igorot Stone Kingdom founder and CEO Pio Velaso told reporters that “the Igorot people want to preserve history,” adding that they want to save the infamous vehicle from an eventual condemnation if it was not sold after two consecutive public auctions.
The floor price of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan (2013) during the first auction held in November 2025 was P45.314 million. It was brought down to P36.28 million in the second auction in December 2025, but still failed to attract a buyer.
“Our purpose was to save it from eventual destruction if ever… and to preserve a piece of history [because] this car is historical because it opened the floodgates and the interest of the nation to this rampant corruption,” Velasco said.
The buyer said the Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc. might opt to display it for public viewing.
Apart from Igorot Stone Kingdom, other registered bidders who participated in the auction were R33 Car Exchange Corp. and celebrity host Wilfredo “Willie” Revillame, both represented by a certain Christian James Ronquillo Lina.
Failed bidding
Also auctioned was the remaining Discaya-owned vehicle which was unsold during the second auction in December 2025, namely the Bentley Bentayga (2022) with a floor price of P11,103,040.30 —brought down from P13,878,800.38 (December 2025 auction) and P17,311,121.93 (November 2025 auction).
The BOC also put under the hammer additional six Discaya vehicles, which were later cleared for auction by the Customs, namely:
- Lincoln Navigator (2024) with a floor price of P8,642,319.86
- Cadillac Escalade (2021) with a floor price of P7,747,289.21
- Maserati Levante Modena (2022) with a floor price P4,091,916.72
- GMC Yukon XL Denali (2022) with a floor price of P6,759,673.35
- Cadillac Escalade ESV (2022) with a floor price of P8,278,445.48
Apart from the Discaya vehicles, the BOC put up for auction the two seized smuggled Bugatti Chiron cars, which became viral on social media in 2024 and was the subject of Senator Raffy Tulfo’s speech in which he disclosed that the luxury cars were registered with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) using fake documents from the BOC.
The floor prices for the red (2019) and blue (2017) Bugatti Chiron vehicles were set at P160,434,633.60 and P149,947,621.44, respectively.
With no interested bidders, the auction for the nine vehicles was declared “failed” by the BOC.
In an ambush interview, BOC deputy chief-of-staff Chris Bendijo said the two Bugatti Chiron cars and the Discaya-owned Bentley Bentayga (2022) will be “strongly considered” for direct sale or “direct offer” by the agency since the vehicles were still unsold after more than two public auctions.
“For the six [additional Discaya cars], this is the first time that they have been subjected to auction… so we will study if they will be part of the next auction,” Bendijo said.—VAL/AOL, GMA Integrated News
