NBI conducts search ops for Atong Ang in Makati village

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday conducted an operation in an exclusive subdivision in Makati City amid the search for businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang, according to a report by John Consulta.

According to the report, Ang may be inside a house in the subdivision.

The search began after the arrival of the lawyers, the report added.

Ang is facing charges for kidnapping with homicide, as well as kidnapping and serious illegal detention before the courts of Sta. Cruz, Laguna; Lipa, Batangas; and San Pablo, Laguna, over the missing sabungeros.

The three courts have issued arrest warrants against him.

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla earlier said that the reward for information leading to Ang’s arrest has been raised to P20 million from P10 million.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA Integrated News
