Informant's Guide to Claiming P20M Bounty for Atong Ang's Arrest

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) released an updated version of businessman Atong Ang’s wanted poster after the reward money for his arrest was increased to P20 million.

How does one secure the bounty?

Information on Ang’s arrest is to be directed to PNP-CIDG Hotlines 09606923025 and 09456115926.

The CIDG said that the reward for Ang’s arrest will be given to any person who gives information leading to Ang’s arrest.

Informants are asked only to present the SIM card used to call the PNP-CIDG hotlines to claim the reward.

“No questions asked. Identity of the informant will be treated with utmost confidentiality,” the poster read.

The CIDG shared the following list of possible locations of Ang’s whereabouts:

  • Pasig
  • Mandaluyong
  • Manila
  • Laguna
  • Batangas
  • Quezon
  • Zambales

Ang is facing charges for kidnapping with homicide, as well as kidnapping and serious illegal detention before the courts of Sta. Cruz, Laguna; Lipa, Batangas; and San Pablo, Laguna.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) earlier said that Ang was still in the Philippines, as there were no records indicating otherwise.

Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had also said there were no records of Ang entering or leaving the country, citing information from whistleblower Julie Patidongan. –NB, GMA Integrated News
